Our story
Folksom is the consumer storefront of DM Brands Limited, the United Kingdom's exclusive distributor for some of Europe's most loved design houses.
We have been bringing these brands into UK homes since 2011. For most of those years we worked behind the scenes — supplying independent gift shops, garden centres, museum stores, and department stores up and down the country. Folksom is where you can now buy direct from us, with the same warehouse, the same buyers, the same craftspeople we have worked with for over a decade.
The brands we represent
We are the appointed UK distributor for:
- Räder — the German design studio in Essen, founded in 1968, known for porcelain light houses, poetic tableware, and seasonal homeware.
- Remember — the German brand founded in Stuttgart in 1998, whose colour-soaked storage, games and stationery have become design classics.
- My Flame Lifestyle — the Dutch candle maker hand-pouring soy candles with hidden messages in Veldhoven since 2010.
- Relaxound — the Berlin studio behind the Zwitscherbox, the wave-activated birdsong box that has won design awards across Europe.
- Ideas4Seasons — the Dutch decorations and tableware studio designing for every season since the early 1990s.
- Elvang Denmark — the Danish textile house weaving alpaca and baby llama throws in Copenhagen since 2003.
- Lenet — the Italian homeware collective in Tuscany, gathering Rose & Tulipani, Rituali Domestici and La Porcellana Bianca alongside the THUN-owned brands. Hand-finished ceramics, considered tableware and decorative pieces from Milan, Florence and beyond — Folksom is the exclusive UK distributor.
- GEFU — the German kitchenware engineers in Eslohe, makers of precision-tooled tools since 1944.
- PPD (Paperproducts Design) — Hamburg-based, designing the napkins, plates and serveware that turn an ordinary table into a moment.
We do not buy these brands from middlemen. Our buying team travels to each studio. The pieces you see on Folksom are the pieces that arrived in our Worcester warehouse direct from the makers.
Why we built Folksom
For years, customers would email us asking "where can I buy the Räder light house in the UK?" or "is there a Zwitscherbox stockist near me?" We pointed them at our retail partners — and we still do. But we wanted to build a place online where the full range was visible in one calm, considered storefront, with proper photography, real stock, fast UK dispatch, and people who actually know the brands at the other end of the phone.
That is Folksom.
How we work
- Real stock in a real warehouse. Everything we sell is held at our facility in Worcester. Same-day dispatch on orders placed before 2pm Monday–Friday.
- Direct relationships with makers. If you have a question we cannot answer, we will email the designer and come back to you. We have those numbers.
- Trade and retail under one roof. If you run a shop and want to stock these brands, the team that supplies you is the team that ships Folksom. Drop us a line.
