Horizon cushion 50x50cm Midnight blue from Elvang Denmark. A considered cushion that softens a sofa or armchair and ties a room together.

Where sea and sky meet! The Horizon cushion is named after the horizon line in the distance, and its characteristic colour gradient that changes from dark to light is the natural motif. The cushion is available in 12 beautiful colour interpretations from a dusty green to a saturated ochre, and can of course be matched with matching throws in the same pattern and colour scheme for a cohesive look in bed or sofa. Overall, the Horizon collection, with its fine play of colours and advanced pattern, is a result of the particularly refined craftsmanship in Peru and therefore encapsulates Elvang's DNA to a great extent.

Horizon is woven from a blend of recycled sheep and alpaca wool, and this special combination of fibres makes it light, durable and soft at the same time. The recycled wool is processed at our local supplier in Peru, which means that the wool comes from other productions and would otherwise be considered waste. By pulling the wool apart, the original fibres emerge and new yarn can be spun and woven into new textiles. In this way, Elvang helps to utilise already existing resources that, instead of being discarded, are given new life with us.

Elvang is fair trade certified at the highest possible level within the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) as Guaranteed Member. This guarantees that the throw is woven under responsible conditions for both the environment, humans and animals.

In general, there is no need to wash or dry clean wool as the material has self-cleaning properties and the fibres themselves have a unique structure that repels odours and dirt. The natural grease in the wool also helps to protect the material because it forms a film that prevents bacteria, for example, from penetrating, making frequent washing or cleaning unnecessary. If your cushion does need to be cleaned, we recommend dry cleaning, which will keep its beautiful surface unchanged for as long as possible.

The cushion is sold without pillow filling. Think sustainable and recycle your old pillow filling. Pillow filling can also be purchased. Our pillow filling is allergy friendly.

The cover must be dry cleaned. The filling can be washed at 60 degrees celsius and it regains its loft, when tumble dried.
